Jacinta Scott

Jacinta Scott is a producer and director's assistant working across feature films, television and commercials.

Driven by a passion for narrative storytelling, Jacinta has built her career assisting some of Australia's most celebrated filmmakers, including Garth Davis and David Michôd, as well as acclaimed US writer/director Will Gluck. Working alongside these directors has given her a deep understanding of the creative process while shaping her own visual sensibility and approach to filmmaking. This experience has also led to opportunities directing splinter unit and additional photography.

Across long and short-form productions, Jacinta has worked through every stage of the filmmaking process, contributing to script development, research and visual treatments, rehearsals, pre-production, production, post-production and editing. Her broad experience allows her to move seamlessly between creative development and execution, bringing a strong narrative focus and practical understanding to every project.

Alongside her work in film and television, Jacinta has established herself as a creative producer across commercials, branded content, music videos and stills photography, producing projects throughout Australia, Asia, Europe and the US.

Her background as an on-set stills photographer further informs her filmmaking, strengthening her eye for composition, performance and visual storytelling. In 2022, she was selected for a Photographic Artist Residency in Portugal, an experience that continues to shape her creative approach across photography and film.
